2008 Scheduling Information

The following dates are offered as a preliminary general planning guide for the 2008 baseball and softball season.  

Please understand that dates are subject to change due to number of teams, weather and/or other revisions:  

February 2               Tryouts (Baseball & Softball)– Day  #1

February 4               Tryouts (Baseball & Softball) – Day  #2 (for those unable to attend on Feb. 2)

February 9               Tryouts (Baseball & Softball) - Make Up Day (Weather related only) 

February 16             Mandatory Coaches Clinic (Baseball & Softball) (AM)

February 16             Practices Begin (Baseball & Softball) (PM)

March 10                 Wilson Co. Schools Spring Break Begins - Practices Continue

March 22                 Opening Day - Games Begin!!

March 30                 Picture Day (Rainout Date – April 6)

April 14                    Wilson Co. Schools TCAP Testing Week

April 19                    Lady Bears Tournament Team Tryouts (Rainout Date – April 23)

April 28                    Mid-Season Baseball League Tournaments Begin (PW7 – Junior)

May 22                    Baseball League Games End

May 27                    Baseball Post Season Tournaments Begin

June 6                      Softball League Games End
